Tidal waves of kittens continue to hit Burbank.  2023 is the busiest year the Burbank Animal Shelter Kitten Foster Program has ever seen.  They've fostered over 220 kittens as of today (Normally they foster 250 in a an entire year), and they're still coming in.  The shelter is bursting at the seams and needs your help! 

Say hello to Pablo Ruffien, aka Pablo the great! This delightful boy is a ton of fun, and he was definitely loved by a family before coming to the Burbank Animal Shelter. He is the pure definition of “food motivated” and will give you a textbook “sit” every time (if treats are offered).

The Burbank Animal Shelter hosted a Burbank Bear Presentation at the Stough Canyon Nature Center led by Biologist Jessica West, from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW). The presentation was organized due to the recent black bear sightings happening among residents of Country Club Drive in Burbank.

Manny (green bell), Moe (purple bell) and Minnie (grey and white) are the sweetest trio of three year old bonded cat siblings you will ever meet. They came to the Burbank Animal Shelter when their owner passed away. They are a little shy in new situations and need a few days to settle in, but once they're comfortable they are incredibly affectionate and LOVE attention. They are truly wonderful cats and the shelter knows they are going to do so well in their new home.

A kitten tsunami is sweeping through Burbank. This year is turning into the busiest "Kitten Season" ever at the Burbank Animal Shelter.  As of today, the Kitten Foster Program has fostered over 170 kittens.  Normally they don't reach that number until the end of July! The Kitten Foster Program is bursting at the seams and they need your help!

Here what the Burbank Animal Shelter kennel attendants have to say about Zephyr:"Zephyr will need work but he's an awesome guy and he would make a great addition to any family. He can be active but also calms down and enjoys relaxing with his companions as well."

Charlotte was found hanging out by Ikea here in Burbank, on the hunt for Swedish meatballs, no doubt! She may not have gotten her paws on any lingonberry jam, but she’s been enjoying the perks of socializing with the Burbank Animal Shelter team.

Astrid is a LARGE Armenian Gampr weighing in at 125 healthy pounds. She might not be the most coordinated, but she’s definitely the most enthusiastic. This girl LOVES belly rubs. She also loves getting scratches and spinning, bouncing and playing. She is very playful, responsive and excited at the opportunity to please her human. The only downside to this is that Astrid has no idea how big she is (she’s a lot to love!).

The Burbank Animal Shelter is running out of kennel space for their dogs and need dog fosters ASAP. Even if you can only foster for a few weeks, it will help. The shelter will match you with a dog that fits your lifestyle, and will cover all costs of care. Please foster a dog and help save a life!
