Adoptable Pets of the Week: Sammie & Luna
Sammie and Luna were brought to the Burbank Animal Shelter when their previous owner became ill and could no longer care for them. They are a very sweet pair of bonded dogs that need to stay together as they rely heavily on each other. Sammie is a male, black and brown brindle pitbull terrier around four years old and Luna is a female white pitbull around the same age.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Princess Jeannette
Meet Princess Jeannette from the Burbank Animal Shelter. She is a fluffy, talkative, and very active senior cat. She would do best as the only pet in an adult-only, quiet home and loves getting pets and scratches behind her ears. Princess Jeannette likes being around people, but also is content with having her own space.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Lola
Meet Lola, a female black, brindle, and white Labrador Retriever and Pit Bull Terrier mix at the Burbank Animal Shelter. Lola is a friendly, sweet girl, very affectionate, excited to be around people, and very smart. At some point in her life, someone cared for her and loved her, and the shelter just want her to have a second chance at happiness and back in a home where she is loved.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Lenny
Hi! My name is Lenny, and I am the ultimate explorer! I am sweet, spunky, and really really really ridiculously good looking. I love to play with scratch posts and laser toys, and I love to cuddle my foster parents when it’s cold! I am a pro at using the cat box and love to meet new pets and people. I enjoy showing off my zoomies and prance moves. I love to play with anything that has string, and I have to say, I am probably the best cat tree climber in the world.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Loki
The Burbank Animal Shelter staff and socialization team have been working with Loki since he came in as a stray back in June of this year. He was an extremely scared cat and would act out of fear. Thankfully, he has come around with the help of a lot of enrichment, socialization and TREATS! Loki is very food motivated and is your favorite person if he knows food is on the way.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Amy
Meet Amy, a two and a half year old female German Shepherd at the Burbank Animal Shelter. Amy is super sweet, loving, and very high energy, but was happy to sit still for her fall photo shoot. While in foster care, Amy did wonderfully with the foster parent's young kids. She will require an active lifestyle with someone who knows the breed and appreciates the care that is needed to help her thrive.
Burbank Animal Shelter Reveals New Art Murals From the Animation Guild
The murals were designed and painted by animators from The Animation Guild as part of their 70th-anniversary celebration.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Astrid
Meet Astrid, a spayed female, tan and white Anatolian Shepherd mix at the Burbank Animal Shelter. The shelter staff think she is about 2 years old and was found wandering as a stray through the streets of Burbank. Astrid is a large girl weighing in at 125 healthy pounds. She would not make a good first time dog because of her size, and needs someone with lots of large or extra large dog breed experience in order for her to thrive in her forever home.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Zeus
Meet Zeus, a three-year-old male Belgian Malinois which is an extremely intelligent working breed. They are commonly used as service dogs, K9 dogs or used on farms for specific jobs. These dogs need LOTS of exercise daily and need to be mentally stimulated or have a job to do while not around their owner, otherwise they can be destructive if these needs are not met.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Bowie
Meet Bowie, a four year old black and brown Rottweiler and Alaskan Husky mix at the Burbank Animal Shelter. Bowie is as loving and affectionate as he is big and strong. He spent some time in a foster home and did great!
