Adoptable Pets of the Week: Honey and Racer
Halloween is coming, and Racer and his partner Honey are here to prove mutts make the best pups! This pair is made up of a little Cattle Dog, Pointer, maybe a dash of Pit Bull and Dalmatian. They both found themselves relinquished to the Burbank Animal Shelter after their owner sadly passed away.
Adoptable Pets of the Week: Goncho and Lulu
oncho (black) and LuLu (blonde) are four year old german shepherd siblings that were surrendered to the Burbank Animal Shelter due to their owner's health declining. According to their old owner they are house broken and very friendly with people with all ages. These two big fluff balls are very in sync and would love to go to a home together, but they can also be adopted separately. Either way, there will be a lot of fur, and training and exercise will be needed. The trade off: no one will ever come to your door unannounced and your feet will never be cold!
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Lola
Lola is a friendly, sweet girl who was transferred to the Burbank Animal Shelter in February from another shelter in LA where they were too full to have her anymore. She has a black brindle coloring and is believed to be a white Labrador Retriever and Pit Bull Terrier mix around the age of 2.5 years old.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Ollie
Ollie was adopted from the Burbank Animal Shelter many years ago and had been living happily with his loving owner/mom. Sadly, when his owner went into the hospital, Ollie came back to stay with us until she got better. Unfortunately his owner did not get better and Ollie is now in need of a new home.
Mountain Lion Sighting in Burbank, What You Need to Know About These Big Cats
On August 23, 2022 at 11:45pm a mountain lion was sighted on the 1900 block of Bonita Ave. The cougar had traveled about a mile away from the Burbank hills and crossed the busy Glenoaks Boulevard before being spotted in a residential neighborhood. The Burbank Animal Shelter put out an alert on social media and released a community mountain lion awareness Guide.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Duke
Meet Duke, a two year old German Shepherd/Mastiff mix. He is a very sweet boy and LOVES attention, but is still in need of some training. Duke is a very strong pup and doesn't realize his size. The Burbank animal shelter thinks he should be fine with experienced kids. Duke spent time in a foster home where he adored his foster dad and his daughter. His foster family said he was smart, affectionate, loving and loyal. They also said he was housebroken, knows basic commands, and did great on the leash!
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Bowie
Meet Bowie, a 4 year old black and brown Rottweiler and Alaskan Husky mix who has been at the Burbank Animal Shelter since October of 2020.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Amy
Amy is super sweet, loving, and very high energy. While in foster care, Amy was amazing with her foster family and was wonderful with their small children. She will require an active lifestyle with someone who knows the breed and appreciates the care that is needed to help her thrive.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Bonded Pair Racer & Honey
Racer and his partner Honey are here to prove mutts make the best pups! This pair has a little Cattle Dog, Pointer, maybe a dash of Pit Bull and Dalmatian in them. They both found themselves relinquished to the Shelter after their owner sadly passed away.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Annie
Annie is a spayed female, brown brindle pit bull terrier mix that was found as a stray. It was obvious that she had just had puppies, however the puppies were not found with her. Annie’s owner never came forward to claim her so she is now looking for her forever home. She has been at the Burbank Animal Shelter since November 5th, 2021.
