Meet Amy, a 2.5 year old, female German Shepherd at the Burbank Animal Shelter. Amy is super sweet, loving, and very high energy.  While in foster care, Amy did wonderfully with the foster parent's young kids. She will require an active lifestyle with someone who knows the breed and appreciates the care that is needed to help her thrive, like an owner who is as keen for living life as she is and is restless when home for too long would be ideal.

Tuesday's City Council meeting brought accolades from every City Council Member and a standing ovation for City Attorney Dennis Barlow's final City Council meeting.

Atlas is a sweet boy who was surrendered to the Burbank Animal Shelter as his previous owner's living situation changed and she could no longer keep him. He is a lovely dog, and an all-around good guy, but he is definitely nervous here at the shelter. He would do best in a quiet home with an experienced dog owner who can be a little patient with him.

Lawn seats are already sold out for this great community show which kicks off the Starlight Bowl season.

Float will be visible until Monday when it is then hauled back to its barn for decommissioning and will standby until it is rebuilt for the 2014 parade

Manny (green bell), Moe (purple bell) and Minnie (grey and white) are the sweetest trio of three year old bonded cat siblings you will ever meet. They came to the Burbank Animal Shelter when their owner passed away. They are a little shy in new situations and need a few days to settle in, but once they're comfortable they are incredibly affectionate and LOVE attention. They are truly wonderful cats and the shelter knows they are going to do so well in their new home.
