The Smokehouse was a buzz Wednesday night when celebrities and local politicians stopped by to help celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Burbank's well known Smokehouse Restaurant.

Burbank welcomed four new inductees to the Athletics Walk of Fame, honoring them for distinguishing themselves as volunteers, staff, or participants promoting high quality and diverse organized sports programs sponsored by the City.

The Family Service Agency held it's yearly Dinner Dance and Recognition Dinner "An Evening to Celebrate Our City, Our Mayors," Saturday evening in the Providence High School Gym.

There is no person that was untouched by the actions on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001 and Sunday, Burbank held an observation for the 9/11 victims on the steps of City Hall.  Reporter John Savageau was there to hear the stories and report from the scene.
