The Burbank Fire Department is reminding locals that fireworks are illegal throughout the City of Burbank, and can pose a serious danger to those who use them.

These fires have caused death, injury and and millions of dollars in damages. Almost half of that is caused by electrical distribution or lighting equipment and more an a fifth of Christmas tree fires are caused by some type of heat, such as a candle, too close to the tree.
