On May 27, 2023, at about 4:00 p.m., the Burbank Police Department received a phone call from a man claiming he was in a vehicle in the parking lot of Home Depot, located at 1200 South Flower Street, armed with a gun, saying he was going to shoot people.

Burbank Police never know what the next call will be and this was no different as they had to reunite a horse and owner (Video also)

National Police Week is this week from May 15-23 and the Burbank Police Department (BPD) is currently recruiting candidates to apply and join their team. As of January 1, 2023 the department has 146 of the 160 budgeted sworn police positions filled leaving them at 91% staffed.

Crash injures officer, suspects then fled in second vehicle with police in pursuit until they were apprehended
