On May 6 around midnight, Burbank Police responded to a call of a smashed window which activated a burglary alarm at Ulta Beauty of Empire Center, located at 1351 Victory Place. Two suspects were arrested.

On May 2 at 2:00 p.m., Burbank Police responded to a call about a man possibly holding a gun near the Metrolink Station on Front St.

Burbank K-9 Officer John Embleton spotted a Mercedes-Benz run a red light, traveling at an excessive speed over 80 MPH on Buena Vista Street.

Burbank Police Officers along with Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run teamed up Wednesday evening to help raise funds for Special Olympics serving food and drinks at California Pizza Kitchen.

On Thursday Burbank leadership, residents, business people, and friends gathered at the Pickwick Gardens to celebrate the dedication and accomplishments of Burbank Police Department and our citizens at the 4th Annual Burbank Police Awards Luncheon. 

On April 17 at 7:10 a.m., Burbank Police were investigating a parking violation and discovered three dead bodies inside of a vehicle on the 1300 block of S. Varney St.

On April 2 at 5:35 p.m., Burbank Police responded to a call about a stolen Ford F350 which contained gardening tools on the 400 block of North Lamer St. The truck was later found abandoned with some equipment missing.

Ten years after “hands-free” laws were put into place to improve safety on the road, there has been a decrease in accidents caused by distracted drivers using their cellphones

On March 29 at a.m., Burbank Police found a man pushing a shopping cart full of alcohol near Ontario Street and Pacific Avenue. The suspect was arrested for allegedly breaking into Isabella's Italian Kitchen and stealing wine and beer.

On March 26, Shownee Shon Smith, 41 of Pasadena, was sentenced for committing six bank robberies throughout summer 2017. His crime spree started on May 15 when he robbed branches of US Bank in Burbank.
