Luther Burbank Middle School’s campus was transformed into a vibrant celebration of global cultures on Friday, May 1, as seventh-grade students took part in the school’s long-standing World History Day tradition.

In a powerful reminder that the next generation of change-makers is already finding their voice, students from Burbank’s own Dolores Huerta Middle School were front and center at a special event honoring civil rights legend Dolores Huerta on Wednesday, May 21st.

On Friday, May 9, the campus of Luther Burbank Middle School transformed into a vibrant celebration of global cultures as 7th grade students took part in the school’s long-standing tradition—World History Day.

On Sunday, March 30, 2025, the Dolores Huerta Middle School Madrigals, an advanced choir composed of 7th and 8th grade students, took the stage at the iconic Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The excitement was electric at Luther Burbank Middle School (LBMS) on Thursday, February 20th, as the school hosted its first ever Luther’s Masked Singer—a lively event presented by the LBMS Yearbook Staff.

When the Diverse Voices Committee at Luther Middle School brainstormed how to bring cultural enrichment to its students, the idea of Luther’s Lunchtime: Live! was born.
