Burbank Police responded to a call on the 900 block of Irving Drive early Tuesday morning from a woman indicating at least 2 persons had entered her home. Shortly after 8:50 a.m. police arrived at the residence, detaining one African-American male in a car parked on the street outside of the house.

The Tamarisk, an alien shrubby tree is the invader disrupting the San Gabriel watershed ecosystem. Eagle Scout candidate Griffin Armstorff, from Boy Scout Troop 209 in Burbank, believes the Tamarisk can be brought under control.
