The City of Burbank is inviting property owners, business owners, residents, community groups, and stakeholders to participate in several events to prepare a community-based vision for the North San Fernando Boulevard corridor. The study area includes properties near the segment of North San Fernando Boulevard between the Burbank Town Center and Interstate 5. The City is conducting this effort to prepare for the construction of the I-5 Empire Avenue Interchange Project, which will construct a full freeway interchange at Empire Avenue and North San Fernando Boulevard.
A variety of outreach events are planned to give the community opportunities to express their concerns, ideas, and visions for the future

In addition, community members can post and discuss ideas on-line at www.burbanktownhall.com.
After the community visioning process, a poster will be developed that graphically illustrates and describes the community-based vision for the North San Fernando Boulevard corridor. The community will be invited to review the vision poster in March, before it is presented to the Planning Board and City Council in April. If the vision is supported by the City Council, a plan and strategy will then be prepared to help the City achieve the vision.
