The Burbank Nonprofit Coalition will host the Annual Back to School Celebration at 10am – 1pm on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Burbank Housing Corporation, 1815 Grismer Ave., Burbank.
The event will feature booths for various organizations in the community for families to receive free information, services, and supplies. Services include dental screenings, eye screenings, haircuts, childcare registration opportunities, and more. Local businesses, service clubs and organizations were
Some partners include Panda Express providing snacks and Burbank Kiwanis for Fun providing lunch. Walmart is donating school supplies along with many other businesses and Warner Bros. and Woodbury University donated all of the Backpacks and Marinello School of Beauty in Burbank will provide free back to school haircuts for all kids.
The Back to School Celebration focuses specifically on the students who are lower income and are in need of backpacks, supplies and services. The goal is to prepare students to succeed in school.
