A Burbank teen was caught driving his mother’s car without her permission early Monday morning — and that was the least of his problems.

According to Burbank Police, the 16 year-old boy was driving under the influence of alcohol.  Shortly before 4:30 a.m., he collided with a 2012 Nissan Frontier pick-up truck near the intersection of Magnolia Blvd. and Pass Ave.  After hitting the truck, the 2010 Honda CRV that the boy was driving struck a light pole and a tree.

The driver of the truck complained of pain and bruising.  The boy was apparently uninjured.

The unidentified boy was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.  He was transported to the Burbank Police Station where he was cited and released to his mother.
