The Burbank Fire Corps Program invites the community to its Open House event on June 22nd from 12apm to 3pm at the Burbank Fire Department Training Center, located at 1845 N Ontario St, Burbank. As a volunteer auxiliary support arm of the Burbank Fire Department, the program’s responsibilities include Community Volunteer Fire Patrol, canteen services for firefighter relief, auxiliary communications, disaster awareness promotion, and CERT operational readiness. Additionally, Fire Corps volunteers will be participating in ARRL Amateur Radio Field Day to practice their emergency communications skills, making contacts and exchanging information with ham radio operators around the world.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the Fire Corps Program’s contributions, engage with members, explore equipment displays, and participate in interactive demonstrations. This event serves as a perfect opportunity for attendees to discover how they can volunteer in the community and contribute to enhancing public safety and disaster preparedness.
