The John Burroughs High School Stagecraft program prepares students for successful careers in the entertainment industry. The program is built on an in-school curriculum as well as opportunities for students to get hands-on skills by running tech for choir, drama, band, and other school productions and events throughout the year. 

In addition, the program supports two competition teams that operate at award-winning high standards: the Intermediate and Advanced Crews. These teams travel with JBHS’s national champion show choirs, making their local, regional, and national performances possible with outstanding sets, lighting, sound, and production. Working together to execute professional-level technical skills in a dynamic environment empowers these students to be leaders and problem-solvers and to cultivate a work ethic that will take them far in life.

Running the Stagecraft program and ensuring the Competition Crews have the means to travel with the tools and gear they need is an expensive endeavor. JBHS Stagecraft is always fundraising, and these driven students will be ready to work for you—washing your car in the summer sunshine—on June 23rd, from 10 AM to 3 PM at Tony’s Sinclair, 1919 W Alameda in Burbank.
