January 11 – Burbank Noon Kiwanis Club Meeting
The Burbank Noon Kiwanis Club is featuring Anne Love as our speaker for our noon lunch and meeting.. She is the Ombudsman for the senior citizen driving program and will join us to talk about the program. Everyone is welcome to attend as a guest at the lunch.

January 11 – Golden State Freeway HOV Lane Project Open House
An open house will be held at the City of Glendale’s Emergency Management
Center regarding the high occupancy vehicle lane (HOV or carpool) project on the Golden State Freeway (I-5) between the Ventura Freeway (SR-134) to Magnolia Boulevard. You will have the opportunity to speak with project staff assigned to the project.

BCR “a place to grow” and the Burbank Park, Recreation and Community Services Department present the Western Round-Up Dinner/Dance for adults and teenagers (16 yrs. and older) with developmental disabilities. Music by Mainline Sound Mobile DJ. Refreshements hosted by Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

The Burbank Historical Society presents David McAlexander speaking on “The History of the Tournament of Roses.” McAlexander, a volunteer with the Tournament of Roses, will give a historical look at the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game over the years, with a look at the organization, technical firsts, and economic impact on Pasadena and surrounding communities.
