Fatal Traffic Accident Closes Burbank Intersection

Burbank Police and Fire units were called at 5:41 a.m. Sunday, to the scene of a traffic accident at Buena Vista  St. and Alameda Ave/

Upon arrival they found that one vehicle was hit directly in the side and had veered off the road into a fence at Disney Studios, after first shearing off a fire hydrant   Paramedics  immediately pronounced one of the occupants from the vehicle deceased at the scene.  Fire Department personnel were able to shut down the water from the hydrant that gushing up onto the roof of the Disney building.

Repair crews were at the location  a few hours after the accident, removing the heavily damaged “Mickey Mouse” fense that surrounds the building.  The building itself also sustained some damage.

Burbank Police quickly closed down the intersection to proceed with their investigation with the closure expected to take the entire morning on Sunday.  One person has been taken to jail and booked for vehicular manslaughter.
