With less than a week to go (and more than 1,160 people already registered), it’s not too late to sign up for the Burbank Community YMCA’s fourth annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. Before you stuff your face, kick off the Nov. 28th holiday with some healthy fun for the entire family!

Turkey Trot 2012Join neighbors and friends for an early morning run or walk on a through downtown Burbank and support a great cause. All proceeds benefit the Burbank Y’s membership assistance program, which makes its facilities and programs available to the children and families in our community most in need, regardless of ability to pay.

Meet 2013 Grand Marshall Gabriel Cordell, a paraplegic and Burbank Y member, who is an inspiration to everyone he meets and who will be “rolling” the race.  This past summer, Cordell rolled a staggering 3,100 miles cross country, from California to New York, in a standard wheelchair in just 99 days, making headlines along the way.
