Ever wonder how the Police in Burbank communicated with their squad cars before the advent of radio communication?
Well 91 years ago on July 13, 1925 they had an answer. The BPD placed a 2000 watt red light up on the Verdugo Mountains that could be seen all over the valley so that the patrolmen could see it and call in.
