Once upon a time Glenoaks was a small two lane road. It was made smaller by the fact that the Red Car tracks that ran down the middle did not help the traffic issues of the day.
Burbank’s answer was to Saw off the front of some buildings and move others back ten feet!
In the old photo we see the front cut off this building and the apartment has been moved back.
In the modern photo we see the same sawed off building as it appears today.
So next time you drive down Glenoaks look at the older buildings and wonder, was it moved back or Sawed off ?
