From 1917 to 1940, If you needed a big truck to haul your goods, you bought a Moreland Truck from Burbank.
On the corner of Alameda & San Fernando Road stood the Moreland Truck Company.
They built large trucks and Buses for large transport needs. They were known for reliability and speed as noted in the picture above.
They set a time run from the Mexico border to Canada with their 6 wheel 6 Cylinder truck with a full load. The company moving to Burbank signaled the beginning of City’s shift from farming to industrial community.
