A former Disney actor and female have been arrested in connection with a series of early morning armed street robberies in Burbank.
On Wednesday January 24, at about 5:15 am., a 52 year-old man was walking in the area of Burbank Boulevard and Griffith Park Drive when he was approached by a male armed with a handgun. The suspect pointed the handgun at the victim and demanded his wallet. Fearing for his life, the victim ran away and was able to escape to safety.
As police officers were investigating the first robbery, three additional armed street robberies occurred within minutes of each other. All three took place in the Burbank hillside community and involved unsuspecting victims out for a walk. The victims all provided similar descriptions of the suspect and his vehicle.
Witnesses to the robberies described the suspect’s vehicle as a dark-colored Kia with at least two occupants. Moments later, a witness reported seeing a vehicle matching the description in the 1600 block of Scott Road. Police officers responded and located the car, detaining a female connected to at least one of the robbery suspects. Officers found property with the vehicle belonging to one of the robbery victims, and additional stolen property in a nearby area.
At approximately 1:15 pm, Burbank police detectives were led to a home believed to be linked to the suspects, located in the 1800 block of North Niagara Street. Due to the nature of the crimes, members of the Burbank Police Department S.W.A.T. Team assisted in serving a search warrant on the residence. A male and female were detained at the home, believed to be the suspects in the robberies.
Those suspects have been identified as Adam Hicks, a 25-year-old resident of Burbank, and Danni Tamburo, a 23-year-old female, also of Burbank. Tamburo was the driver of the suspect vehicle during the commission of the robberies. Hicks and Tamburo were placed under arrest and booked into the Burbank City Jail for armed robbery. They are both being held on $350,000 bail and are due in court on Friday.
Hicks has been an actor for over 15 years, starting with the show Titus was previously on Disney shows such as Zeke and Luther, Pair of Kings and according to his bio, had just completed work on the movie Shifting Gears
Additional stolen property was found inside the residence during service of the search warrant. There were no injuries reported as a result of these crimes. Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the Burbank Police Department Investigations Division, at (818) 238-3210.
Why don’t you cite your sources? Why do you steal content without giving credit to the author(s). Ross would you appreciate others using your photos without permission and/or credit? Who wrote the above? Who took the above photograph?
From the Editor: The photo has been removed – it was from IMDB like many other news agencies used but since we did not license it (I doubt others did also) we removed it. BTW – Ross has nothing to do with this so I guess we all can make a mistake, right?
