With Burbank being called the Media Capital of the World, it is only right that a former Mayor of Burbank, Bob Frutos, would receive an Emmy for his State of the City Video in 2015 “Drawing Power of Burbank”.
The video premiered at the State of the City which was held at the Airport Marriott last year. While the video went off without a hitch that day, the same can not be said for the Mayor as he had to miss the event due to an illness.
The video, which was produced by the City of Burbank for the Burbank Channel, won the Emmy for Information Segment Saturday, July 23.
Besides Frutos being recognized as the Host and Producer, Colleen Duffy Felix, Walter A. Lutz, Jr., Drew Sugars and Peter Musurlian were recognized for their work on the video.
The video featured Frutos in different locations in the City as well as a short segment done with Warner Bros. animation.
