This election season you can’t go many places without seeing some reminder that there is a City Election taking place. Campaign signs are everywhere, on almost every corner.
The Burbank City Clerk’s office has also stepped up their efforts in getting more people to vote. This year they have sponsored four Meet & Greet events, they have placed several hundred lawn signs throughout the city, huge signs in city parks and street banners. They have also gotten students in all the High Schools involved and even guided them on how to register to vote.
On Saturday February 21 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm there will be five ‘Ballot Drop Off Centers’ the locations that voters can drop of their voted ballots. Joslyn Center, 1301 W Olive Avenue; Tuttle Center, 1731 N. Ontario Street; The City Clerks Office, 275 E. Olive Avenue; Buena Vista Library, 300 N. Buena Vista and the McCambridge Recreation Center, 1515 N. Glenoaks Blvd.
DO NOT MAIL YOUR BALLOT any longer for this primary election.
On Tuesday February 24 is Election Day from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and you can drop off your ballots to the following locations:
Joslyn Center, 1301 W Olive Avenue; Tuttle Center, 1731 N. Ontario Street; The City Clerks Office, 275 E. Olive Ave; Burbank Adult School, 3811 W Allan Avenue; John Muir Middle School, 1111 N Kenneth Road; Buena Vista Library, 300 N. Buena Vista Street; Allan Edison Elementary School, 2110 Chestnut Street and McCambridge Recreation Center, 1515 N Glenoaks Blvd.
A couple of reminders that you must use black pen when marking you ballots. Make sure you remove the stub from the top of your ballot and put it into the Identification/Return envelope. DO NOT fold the ballot card and do not put any other materials in the Identification/Return envelope.
