Burbank Fire received a call of a house fire at 11:41 p.m. on Friday, July 17, in the 1000 block of East Valencia in Burbank. Upon their arrival, Engine 11 reported fire showing from the left rear corner of the house.
Additional manpower assisted and extinguished the visible fire that spread to the roof, while crews made their way into the vacant house to check if the fire had gone inside.
The home, which was vacant as it was going through improvements, made easy work for firefighters as they knocked down the fire at 12:01 a.m.
There were no injuries to any of the firefighters. The cause is being investigated and the amount of damage is not known at this time.
