Looking for an upbeat show offering great family-friendly entertainment? Then head on over to Theatre Banshee and treat yourself and the kids to You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Your beloved Peanuts characters will be waiting for you: Linus Van Pelt (EYMARD CABLING), Lucy Van Pelt (CARLA JIMENEZ), Snoopy (FRANKIE MARRONE), Schroeder (JAMES ORONOZ) Sally (COLETTE PETERS), Lucy (JENNIFER STRATTAN) and, of course Charlie Brown (CHRIS DUIR last Saturday).
All of the actors brought their comic-strip counterparts to vibrant life. The youngsters squealed with delight and the not-quite-so-young sounded their own notes of appreciation. In their version of the musical comedy, Producer JOHN PETERS, Director NEIL DALE and their talented crew have fully preserved the enduring charm of Charles M. Schultz’s characters.
The show traces out an “average day in the life of Charlie Brown”, which for the audience means a “day” of delightful songs, beguiling skits and hilarious character portrayals. As one audience member remarked to her friend at the end of the show, “Aah, they did a good job.”
It’s a good show, Charlie Brown!
