Longtime Burbank resident Jeffrey Scott Grindley died July 3, after a battle with cancer. He was 57 years old.
The son of Robert and Doris Grindley, Mr. Grindley grew up in Glendale. He graduated from Hoover High School in 1972. After high school, Mr. Grindley began working in his father’s machine shop, Grindley Manufacturing, Inc. He was a machinist and programmer, manufacturing precision parts for the medical and aerospace industries. His most recent project was making parts for the new Boeing 787 airplane.
Mr. Grindley was active in the ministries at Grace Community Church, where he had been a member since the 1970’s. Along with his wife, he was active in leadership roles in both the band and baseball boosters at John Burroughs High School when his sons were in high school.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie, and sons Kyle and Jeff. He is also survived by his siblings, John, Bruce, and Margie.
A memorial service for Mr. Grindley will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Grace Community Church Chapel, 13248 Roscoe Blvd., Sun Valley. A memorial page for Mr. Grindley can be found at www.krgrindley.com/dad.
