Thursday afternoon in 100 degree temperature city officials gathered on the new stage at Johnny Carson Park to re dedicate the park after a 2 year rebuild project got completed.
The city offered games, music, fun and free hotdogs to the first couple hundred people, also free snow cones, and plenty of green grass and new playground equipment.
The dinner and awards ceremony is a function the lodge hosts every year to honor and meet the Firefighter of the Year and the Burbank Police Officer of the Year.
Barragan's Restaurant turned 65 this past Thursday, and the party was felt all day long. Long-time employees, some with over 40 years of service, were on hand to celebrate.
