La Crescenta Man Arrested On Identity Theft And Drugs Charges

On Thursday, February 20, Burbank Police arrested Gevorg Verdanyan, a 26-year-old La Crescenta resident, on charges related to identity theft and possession of a controlled prescription not in his name.

Officers stopped Vardanyan’s 2004 BMW at Forest Lawn’s Mt. Sinai entrance for vehicle code violations at 2:25 p.m. During the traffic stop, Vardanyan consented to a search of his vehicle, according to Lt. Eduardo Ruiz of the Burbank Police Department.

The search turned up the recovery of several re-encode credit cards, items containing personal information not belonging to the suspect and possession of a control prescription, added Ruiz.

Vardanyan was booked at the Burbank Jail and his bail was set at $20,000.
