Wine lovers from across Southern California will make their way to Burbank this September as LAWineFest brings its 21st annual celebration to the Los Angeles Equestrian Center for the first time.
Taking place Saturday, Sept. 12, and Sunday, Sept. 13, the outdoor festival will transform the tree-shaded grounds bordering Griffith Park into a destination for wine tasting, food, live music, boutique shopping and community connection.
For more than two decades, LAWineFest has welcomed both experienced wine enthusiasts and those who simply want to discover something new. This year’s move brings the festival back to central Los Angeles County while introducing visitors from across the region to one of Burbank’s most scenic venues. The Los Angeles Equestrian Center is home to more than 500 horses and regularly hosts dressage, polo and equestrian competitions. Its expansive outdoor areas, mountain views and natural shade offer a relaxed backdrop for the two-day tasting event.

Guests will be able to sample wines from California and international producers, along with craft beers, ciders and several nonalcoholic options. The weekend will also feature food trucks, artisan vendors and live music from the Unofficial Slam Band.
“It’s exciting to bring the LAWineFest back to central Los Angeles just in time for harvest, and this beautiful location is perfect,” said LAWineFest Director Scherr Lillico. “We look forward to welcoming back old and new friends from the Westside, downtown and the valleys and promise a memorable opportunity to check out both California and international wines.”
General admission includes entry to the festival, unlimited wine and craft beer tastings within producer limits, a commemorative stemless wine glass, water, coffee and access to the festival’s music, food and shopping areas. General admission tickets will be $100 at the gate.
A limited VIP Garden experience will also be offered in a private, tree-covered section of the venue. VIP guests will have access to wines from more than a dozen boutique wineries producing fewer than 2,000 cases annually, as well as premium wineries, food pairings, additional seating and dedicated restrooms. VIP tickets will be $150 at the gate, with only 400 available each day. On Saturday, VIP ticket holders may enter the festival one hour early at 1 p.m. There will be no early admission on Sunday.
The festival continues its longtime partnership with the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club and will also support AHEAD With Horses, a local nonprofit that provides equine-assisted therapy for children with disabilities, special needs and other challenges. Proceeds from VIP tickets will benefit both organizations.
Designated-driver tickets are available for $25 and include access to the festival without alcoholic tastings. Organizers strongly encourage guests to use a designated driver, carpool, rideshare or public transportation. Parking must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the venue on the day of the event. Onsite general admission parking is $25, VIP parking is $35 and offsite parking with a shuttle option is available for $16.
For visitors turning the festival into a Burbank weekend getaway, Hotel Burbank has been named the official hotel of LAWineFest. The downtown hotel is located just a few minutes from the Equestrian Center and offers rooms and suites for guests staying overnight.
LAWineFest will run from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, with VIP admission beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday’s festival hours are 1 to 5 p.m. All attendees must be 21 or older, including designated drivers. Infants and children will not be admitted due to state alcohol regulations. Pets are also prohibited, with the exception of certified service animals trained to assist people with disabilities.
