Leadership Burbank’s Halloween costume party returns Saturday, October 24, bringing together friends, alumni, community leaders and local businesses for a night of costumes, cocktails and community — all under the stars on the rooftop at INTRO Burbank.
The adults-only Halloween bash runs from 6 to 10 p.m. and promises plenty of tricks and treats, including dancing with DJ Wickety Wilke, a curated menu of hosted BOOOze and signature cocktails, tarot card readings, a costume contest, a silent auction, and ghoulishly delicious hors d’oeuvres provided by BB Café — plus a Halloween candy bar for a little something sweet.
And if past LB Scary parties are any indication, guests should come prepared to take their costumes seriously.
This year’s party takes over the rooftop at INTRO Burbank, giving the long-awaited return of LB Scary a spectacular setting overlooking the city, and a pretty incredible backdrop for whatever costumes guests dream up.
But behind all the boos, bites and over-the-top costumes is a purpose that goes well beyond Halloween.
Proceeds from LB Scary support Leadership Burbank and its work to educate and motivate new and emerging leaders to take an active role in Burbank’s civic, cultural and economic life. For more than 30 years, Leadership Burbank has brought together people who care deeply about the community, creating opportunities to build relationships, develop ideas and make a meaningful difference throughout Burbank.
Local businesses and community partners are also invited to join the fun as LB Scary sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities offer recognition before and during the event and include event tickets, giving sponsors the chance to support Leadership Burbank while joining the celebration themselves. It’s a win/win: meaningful community visibility and a frightfully fun night out.
Leadership Burbank is grateful to the many sponsors and donors already helping make LB Scary possible — and there’s still time to join them. Grand Goblin Sponsors include the City of Burbank, The Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. Entertainment. Hocus Pocus Patron Sponsors include Cusumano Real Estate Group, Schafer Electric Inc. and Worthe Real Estate Group. Spellbound Specter Sponsors include Gain Federal Credit Union, Maintico Corp, UMe Credit Union, UMe Credit Union Wealth Management Group and Volpei-Gussow Butler Real Estate Group.
Leadership Burbank alumni, board members and friends are getting in on the fun, too. Boo Benefactor Sponsors include the Leadership Burbank Class of 2005, Class of 2025, the Akuin Family, Jessa Freemyer and Jared Markham, Albert Hernandez, Anita and Mark Hutchinson, Joan McCarthy, Leslie and Ken Smith, and the Akuin Family — a spirited show of support from across the Leadership Burbank community.
There’s still an opportunity to add your name to the party and support Leadership Burbank’s mission while you do it.
In other words, partying for a purpose has never looked quite this scary.
