Letter to the Editor:
Hey Burbank Drivers…. Do you drive along our major thoroughfare, Olive Avenue? Is it important to you to be able to get where you are going in reasonable time? If so, you better pay attention to the upcoming City Council Election. Metro has BIG plans to change a lane of traffic on Olive Avenue to a dedicated bus lane. That’s right… The plan is to take one lane and give it exclusively to buses. Can you imagine the congestion, confusion, and consternation you will experience trying to navigate your way on Olive from Buena Vista to the bottom of the Olive Bridge with access to only one lane to do so?
If you feel, as I do, that this is a mistake, then be sure to vote for Samantha Wick and David Donahue to represent us on the City Council. They have made it clear that they will support the concept of “Mixed Flow”. That will allow all buses to travel along Olive with the rest of the traffic.
NO DEDICATED BUS LANE ON OLIVE?
