Letter to the Editor:
As a mother and grandmother of three BUSD graduates, I am interested in seeing that future students have access to the good education that my family enjoyed. In order for BUSD to continue, there must be governance and fiscal responsibility shown by the School Board. The current Board lacks both.
I read Linda Walmsley’s letter to the editor with great interest. She outlined the duties and responsibilities of a board member and recommended Paul Gerard. I read his flyer in which he states that he will accurately audit every dollar spent. Fiscal responsibility is a cornerstone of good governance. We need someone who will question, obtain facts and vote accordingly.
In my opinion, Paul Gerard is intelligent, willing to work with others and up to the challenges ahead.
