Classic hits are getting a fresh spin as Luther Burbank Middle School’s Vocal Music Association presents “Yacht Rock Remix,” its 2026 fall show, November 5–7 at 6:30 p.m. each evening.
Inspired by the music of his own middle school years, LBMS Vocal Music Director Tony Redman is bringing the smooth sounds of yacht rock to a new generation. The show celebrates the beloved music of the mid-1970s through the mid-1980s, featuring modern remixes and fresh takes on classics by artists including Hall & Oates, Bill Withers, and Captain & Tennille.
Luther’s award-winning choir program will take center stage, giving student performers the chance to make these familiar favorites their own. Behind the scenes, an all-student stage crew will help bring the production to life, showcasing the teamwork and talent that extend well beyond the spotlight.
For families, music lovers, and neighbors looking to support local arts education, the show offers an evening of nostalgia paired with the energy of Burbank’s young performers.
Performances take place at Luther Burbank Middle School, 3700 W. Jeffries Avenue in Burbank. VIP and reserved tickets are available at lbmsvma.ludus.com, with general admission tickets available at the box office.
