In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 29, Burbank police stopped and arrested two males, Buniyarit Bida, age 19 and a resident of Studio City, and an unidentified 17-year-old for conspiracy to commit burglary.
At 2:38 a.m., Saturday, Burbank police were dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Screenland Drive to check on two suspects reportedly looking into vehicles in the area. The officers contacted the two suspects, Bida and the 17-year-old.
Bida and the juvenile consented to a search, which resulted in the recovery of burglary tools, including a lock pick, flashlight and gloves and several items of property in their possession, according to Lt. Eduardo Ruiz of the Burbank Police Department.
“The officers’ investigation lead them to believe the pair was working together in an attempt to break into parked cars,” said Ruiz.
Both suspects were arrested for violations of section 182 and 459 of the California Penal Code and booked and processed at the Burbank Jail. Bida’s bail was set at $20,000 and the juvenile was cited out to his parent.
