Burbank Police caught a man late Tuesday night as he tried to get away from officers when he was spotted in the parking lot of Fry’s Electronics acting suspiciously.
When Burbank’s K-9 arrived the suspect left the parking lot in the truck and refused to yield, driving to Hollywood Way and Valhalla and turned west toward the dead end. Pursuing officers followed the suspect, who got to the end of the street and crashed into the gates of Valhalla Cemetery.  The man then jumped out of the truck, hopping over the fence into the cemetary with officers now in foot pursuit inside the grounds of the cemetery.
Officers caught the suspect, who resisted arrest and was tasered and arrested. Burbank Paramedics were called to treat the suspect, who was injured  when he went over the wrought iron gates, tearing off a toenail and possibly broke his ankle. They transported him to a local hospital prior to being booked. Burbank Police recovered  drugs and other suspicious items from the suspect’s truck prior to it being impounded.
The suspect has been identified as Edvard Takhmazyan, 31, of Sunland.
