Agoura resident Stephen Perryman, age 33, was arrested by the Burbank Police Thursday evening, January 23, around 10:30 p.m. after officers stopped to speak with the man near Victory Blvd. and Manning Avenue. Officers on patrol in the area noticed Perryman walking along the east sidewalk of Manning Ave., north of Victory and stopped to speak with the man.
When the officer engaged the man in conversation, Perryman said he was looking for his vehicle which had been parked near Buena Vista Blvd. and N. San Fernando Blvd., which was nowhere near their present location, according to Officer Joshua Kendrick of the Burbank Police Department.
During the conversation, Perryman stated to the officer he had been arrested previously for narcotics and was addicted to narcotics, Kendrick added. The officer searched Perryman and found a pocketknife and a stun gun. A records check showed the man was on felony probation for narcotics and had multiple warrants out for his arrest.
Perryman was arrested for the outstanding warrants and for being a felon in possession of a stun gun. He was booked into the Burbank Jail and is due in court on Monday, January 27.
