Man Arrested for Stealing and Fighting at Target

A Los Angeles man was arrested by Burbank police for robbery after he try to flee the discount store with electronic merchandise.

Carlos Montes (22) entered Target on Sunday afternoon at 12:11 and selected merchandise.  The man then attempted to leave the store without paying for a Samsung tablet and a watch.

Montes was contacted by Loss Prevention officers and a physical fight ensued.  The suspect refused to be taken into custody and would not release the stolen merchandise.

Montes escaped from Target security but they were able to detain him a short time later, they determined that the value of the items he was attempting to steal was $369.98.

Burbank police officers arrived and arrested the suspect for robbery.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on 11/25/14.  His bail has been set at $50,000.00
