Burbank police had their hands full at Target last Friday night around 8:10 pm as they arrested four men for being in possession of numerous re-encoded access cards and gift cards.
Enrique Pomare (25) of Brooklyn, NY, Orland Lewis (25) of Brooklyn, NY, Nathaniel Edwards (22) of El Cajon, and Lando Brown (28) of National City were all arrested after police say Pomare was seen by Target security entering Target and used re-encoded (fraudulent) credit cards to purchase Target gift cards. Target security notified Burbank police as Pomare left Target and was seen getting into a vehicle with three other individuals (Brown, Edwards and Lewis). Officers conducted a traffic stop of the suspect vehicle and after a search of the car and the suspects revealed that all four occupants were in possession of numerous re-encoded access cards and gift cards. They were all arrested for possession of fraudulent credit cards.
During the investagation, Edwards provided officers with a false name prior to fleeing from officers on foot. When officers caught up to Edwards, he resisted arrest. Edwards kicked and injured three officers. It was determined that Edwards is currently on state and federal probation for Identity Theft. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday January 27, 2015.
Their bail has been set at $50,000.00.
