Man Robbed of Cash by Gunpoint on Alameda

Police report that a man was robbed of cash after being robbed at gunpoint on Thursday around 5:34 pm.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of W. Alameda Ave., regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred.  When officers arrived they located the victim who stated he had been working in the garage off the alley when he felt someone grab him from behind.

The male produced a handgun and pushed the victim up against a nearby wall.  One of the  suspects told the victim not to turn around, as an additional suspect began to go through the victim’s pockets.

The suspects collected the victim’s wallet and cash, and fled westbound through the alley and south on Mariposa St. Officers and a helicopter searched the area and found no sign of the two men who took a substantial amount of cash from the victim.

Both suspects were described as Hispanic men, around 25 to 30 years-old. One was about 6′ 2″, 180 pounds and the other was 5′ 7″ and 150 pounds.
