Man Robbed of Jewelry by Masked Men on Burbank Street

On Thursday, November 29, at 2:47 p.m., Burbank Police officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Maria St., near the Empire Center, regarding a street robbery. On arrival, the officers contacted a man standing in the street of a primarily industrial area. The 32-year-old victim indicated he was exiting his vehicle, parked at the curb, when two masked men confronted him on the street. They demanded the bag of jewelry he was carrying, in addition to his personal cell phone, and the keys to his vehicle.

The two masked men entered a charcoal gray Mitsubishi four-door sedan, with paper plates. There were three additional people inside the suspect vehicle. They were also wearing masks.   The vehicle and all five suspects left the area.

Burbank Police detectives are continuing their investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance. If you were in the area and witnessed the robbery or saw a similar vehicle fleeing the area, you are asked to contact the Burbank Police Department Detective Bureau at 818-238-3210.
