Burbank Police and Firefighters were called out to Verdugo and Front Street around 3:00 am Tuesday morning after a truck ran over the curb and snapped off a un-energized supporting power pole. The sole occupant was transported to St. Josephs Medical Center with unknown injuries, Burbank Police at the scene said the driver possibly smelled of alcohol, while they were assisting Burbank Firefighters. Streets in the area were blocked for several hours until City utility crews could remove the pole from the top of his truck.
