Chance Bell rushed for 220 yards on 21 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the Indians to the road victory. Burroughs (4-3, 2-2) scored first when Bell ran in from 25 yards out. The lead remained 7-0 at halftime. After Pasadena tied it up at seven apiece late in the third quarter, the Indians took command when Bell scored on a 24-yard run early in the fourth quarter. Andres Aguilar added a 24-yard field goal to extend the lead to 17-7. Pasadena scored on a late touchdown but the Indians survived despite passing for a total of five yards for the game. Quarterback Andy Amela missed his third straight game with concussion symptoms.

Cross Country–
Burroughs boys won Pacific League meet No. 2 defeating second place Arcadia, 20-38, at Arcadia County Park. The Indians dominated for their second league meet win of the season claiming second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth place. Garrett Boulais ran a tremendous race to finish runner-up in a time of 14:38.
Burbank’s Enrique Vizcaino led the Bulldogs to a 4th place finish by taking 8th in 15:06.
The Bulldogs’ female superstar runner Candela Fernandez took first place blowing past the field in 16:37. Burbank girls claimed second place behind Arcadia, 21-38, as Fernandez won her second straight Pacific League meet.
The Lady Indians took 4th in their race led by Emily Virtue who ran an 18:02 to take 8th place individually.

Burbank’s Irene Maemura finished 3rd overall with a score of 73 and advanced to the CIF Northern Regional to be played on October 27. She earned first-team All-League honors.
