Tustin Tournament

Burroughs 54 Temescal Canyon 53 (consolation championship)

All-Tournament selection Chris Hovasapian scored 17 points to lead the Indians to the consolation championship and a 3-1 record in the tournament. David Schwer added 12 points and Jakob Davis recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds as Burroughs improved to 8-4 on the season.

Burroughs 60 Long Beach Cabrillo 58

David Schwer scored 24 points including knocking down five three’s on his birthday as the Indians survived a comeback by Cabrillo. Steven Hubbell added 14 points and six assists and Angelo Solis contributed a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Burroughs 71 Calvary Chapel 48

Chris Hovasapian scored 20 points, Steven Hubbell added 14 and Eric Allen chipped in with 10.

Huntington Beach 71 Burroughs 57

Steven Hubbell scored a season-high 27 points to go along with five steals. Chris Hovasapian added 14 points.

Katella Tournament

Burbank 62 La Palma Kennedy 50 (third place)

All-Tournament selection Ellie Hanno scored 18 points to lead the Bulldogs to a third place finish. The Bulldogs improved to 8-4 on the season after going 3-1 in the tournament.

Burbank 79 El Rancho 67

Ellie Hanno scored 26 points and Levon Galystan came off the bench to add 13.

Servite 48 Burbank 35

Mike Woods scored 10 points for the Bulldogs.

Burbank 52 Irvine 51

Ben Chavez scored 14 points including the game winning shot with a second left.

West Coast Holiday Classic

Burroughs 63 Bishop Montgomery 55 (Gold Division)

All-Tournament selection Abbey Ibarra scored 21 points and Sienna Brown scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Indians to their ninth straight win and a perfect 5-0 record in the tournament. Delaney Nicol added 10 points.

Burbank 58 Calabasas 52 (Silver Division championship)

MVP Yazzy Sa’dullah scored 26 points and had seven steals and six assists to lead the Lady Bulldogs to the Silver Division title and a perfect 5-0 record in the tournament. All-Tournament selection Anastasia Tsybaeva scored 17 points, grabbed six rebounds and had three blocks as Burbank raced to an early 13-2 lead and coasted to the victory. BHS led 21-6 after the first quarter, 30-16 at the half, and 43-31 at the end of the third quarter.

Burroughs 62 Duarte 40

Davina Del Castillo scored 15 points and collected three steals as the Indians cruised to an easy victory. Jordan Meltzer added 13 points and Abbey Ibarra chipped in with 11.

Burbank 56 Brentwood 45 (semifinals)

Yazzy Sa’dullah continued her monster play by scoring 28 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the semifinal win of the Silver Division. Anastasia Tsybaeva had 13 points, nine rebounds and eight blocks. Christina Mrtchyan added 11 points.

Burroughs 50 Arbor View (Nev.) 44

Jordan Meltzer scored 13 points on 3-for-3 shooting from downtown; Davina Del Castillo scored six points to go along with nine rebounds and six assists; Sienna Brown scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds; Brooke Radcliff had seven points and seven rebounds

Yazzy Sa’dullah scored 36 points and had 15 rebounds, six assists and six steals in an amazing performance

Burroughs 63 Carson City (Nev.) 47

Davina Del Castillo scored 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 steals. Sienna Brown had 15 points and 9 rebounds. Brooke Radcliff had 10 points and Jordan Meltzer and Abbey Ibarra each had 6 points. Ibarra also had 7 assists and 4 rebounds.
