Girls Tennis:
(Pacific League singles championship)
Junior Lilit Vardanyan of Burbank defeated Arcadia’s Sharlene Song 7-5, 6-3 to win the singles title. Vardanyan also knocked out Hoover’s Sara Kim 6-1, 6-0 in the semifinals.
Burbank freshman Nicole Merrit defeated Sara Kim of Hoover 8-1 to take 3rd place.

Crescenta Valley’s Jackie Dilanchyan and Alexa Gregorian defeated seniors Meredy Gharabegi and Elizabeth Sanchez of Burbank 5-7, 6-4, 10-8 to win the doubles title.
Girls Golf:
Burbank’s Irene Maemura fired a one-under-par 71 (fifth place) and Burroughs’ Joany Gao shot a 73 for 12th place in the CIF Northern Individuals at River Ridge GC in Oxnard. Both players advance to the next round of the CIF Individual playoffs.
