Mother of Two Arrested for DUI After Driving Car on Wrong Side of Street

Evening traffic came to a halt on Victory Place in front of the Burbank Animal Shelter when a car traveling southbound went into oncoming traffic in the northbound lanes.

Burbank Police, with the aid of Animal Shelter personal, stopped traffic while Burbank Paramedics could treat the injured.  Paramedics needed two rescue ambulances to transport the victims to Saint Joseph Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The driver of the southbound car had two young children in her auto, that sustained only minor injuries, their mother was later booked for DUI after being released from the hospital.

The driver, Elizabeth Ludwick Bax, 49, of Burbank had been arrested by Burbank Police on January 15, for spousal battery.  Her bail in that case was set at $20,000.  In this lastest incident, she was arrested for driving under the influence causing bodily injury, and her bail was set at $100,000.
