Motorcycle accident causes major injuries to rider, and closes intersection for a while. (Photo by Ross A. Benson)Burbank Police are continuing their investigation on this traffic accident that occurred yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Buena Vista & Alameda Avenue.

The rider of the motorcycle was transported by Burbank Paramedics to LA County Medical Center with major injuries to his hand and leg. The driver of the other car that was involved was not injured.

Burbank Police closed the intersection in both directions while they conducted their investigation.   If you witnessed this accident your asked to call Burbank Police Traffic Department’s Accident Investigator Paul Orlowski 818-238-3000.

    1. I find it weird they just didnt take him to Providence….it was after all on that corner. Hope he is ok.

      • St. Joe’s is no longer a trauma hospital. They take minor injuries but they take all the heart cases.  County and Holy Cross are the two closest Trauma Centers and Burbank Paramedics transport to both facilities.

      • That was my thoght too.  He probably did not have insurance or it was his preferred hospital, or there was no open space at the time at Saint Joseph.  There could be a few reasons.  I would know because i deal with clients who are transported, so there are different possibilities why.
