New Signals Installed – Better Order a New Sign

Last week outside contractors installed new signals at both Pass Ave. and Oak St. along with new signals at Pass Ave. and Verdugo Ave.

When putting up the new signs they mistakenly put up a sign that read Verdugo St. instead of Verdugo Ave hanging from the pole. What is strange about the mistake is they also rehung the smaller old sign from the old signal pole that says Verdugo Ave. Or course, this is not to be confused with Verdugo Drive that is in another part of Burbank.

When myBurbank went by the scene on Monday to find out what happened there were no workers on scene.

Maybe they went to Verdugo Street instead and are still lost.

  1. I think I too got confused with all the different “Verdugo” streets! You would think that mishaps like this were more common, but this is one of the first I have read about. Perhaps we simply don’t hear about them, but they are, in fact, more common. It’s amusing that something like this could happen, but also kind of sad that placing correct signs can be so difficult!
