Caltrans is constructing a carpool lane on the Golden State Freeway (I-5) between the Ventura Freeway (SR-134) and Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank.  This has necessitated the closing of some on and off ramps, as well as lane closures.

As part of the improvements, starting on February 2, crews will begin demolition of the Providencia Ave. pedestrian bridge under the  Northbound I-5   between Alameda Ave. and Olive Ave.  The demolition is necessary for the widening of the freeway.  This will require the temporary closure of Northbound I-5 Olive Avenue off-ramp. The closure will only occur at night on Sunday through Thursday, betweenb 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. There will be no closures on Friday and Saturday nights. See map below for alternate off-ramp exit.

Also during this time, Flower Street between Alameda and Verdugo will also be closed because of the bridge demolition.

Caltrans will make every effort to minimize any inconvenience to you. You may hear construction noise and experience vibrations during this operation. Noise will not exceed levels allowed by state and federal regulations.
