Pedestrian Hit on Olive Avenue Turns Into Fatal Accident

Burbank Police are continuing their investigation into a fatal Auto vs. Pedestrian accident that occurred late Sunday evening around 10:15 pm. The accident occurred on Olive Avenue west of Naomi Street.

Police identified the man as Brad Hensley, a 53 year old resident of the City of Maywood that was struck  in the eastbound number one lane and was not crossing in a marked crosswalk. He was transported by Burbank Fire Paramedics to Providence Holy Cross Trauma Center where he succumbed to his injuries caused by the accident.

Burbank Police Traffic Division will be continuing their investigation. The driver of the car that struck the pedestrian was cooperating fully with police at the scene and there was no evidence that any alcohol or drugs impaired the driver.

The driver of the vehicle was a 60 year-old Burbank resident. Olive remained closed during the initial investigation from Buena Vista on the east and Florence on the west.
